Hester Fannie Mitter

Mrs. Hester Fannie Mitter, 92, of Keysville, VA entered eternal rest Friday, August 11, 2006 at Britthaven of Keysville, VA.Mrs. Mitter was born in Lunenburg County, VA January 7, 1914 to the late Matthew and Fannie Watson. She attended the schools of Lunenburg County, VA and was a member of Mount Mitchell Baptist Church, Fort Mitchell, VA. She was a member of the Senior Choir, Missionary Society and served as an assistant Sunday school teacher for the primary class.Mrs. Mitter was preceded in death by her husband Robert Mitter.Cherishing her memories is one daughter, Earlean Woodson of Fort Mitchell, VA; one son, Robert H. Mitter (Virgie) of Victoria, VA; five grandchildren, Melvin, Mae, Millie, Roslyn and Linda; 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Bessie Davis, Fort Mitchell, VA, Viola Hayes, Washington, DC and Dorothy Davis, Drakes Branch, VA; one brother, Robert Watson of Fort Mitchell, VA; two sisters in-law, Ola Watson and Lula Mitter; one brother-in-law, Isaac Davis and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.Funeral services for Mrs. Hester Fannie Mitter will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Mount Mitchell Baptist Church, Fort Mitchell, VA with Rev. Fran Jackson, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA.
