Herbert Leroy Watts, Jr.

Mr. Herbert Leroy Watts, Jr., 52, of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Watts was born in South Hill, VA on November 24, 1968 to Floardell Fields Watts and the late Herbert L. Watts, Sr. He attended Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith, and was a member of St. Level Baptist Church in Clarksville, VA. He was employed by H&M Logging in South Boston, VA as a skidder operator. Mr. Watts served in the Virginia National Guard, and enjoyed working, fishing, listening to music and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his father, Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his wife, Monica Goode-Watts and a brother, Jeremy Louis Watts. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Kierra, Tyquone, and Courtney Watts; three grandchildren, Londyn, Tyler and Tristan; his mother, Floardell Fields Watts; eight aunts, Annie Jenkins, Elaine Bullock, Dorothy Parrish, Mary Alice Fields, Catherine Fields, Donna Kennedy, Connie Phillips and Linda Shaver; four uncles, James Fields, Marshall Fields, Teddy Arrington and Darrell Arrington, two brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Graveside services for Mr. Herbert L. Watts, Jr. will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 18, 2021 at St. Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Toney Smith officiating. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
