Mr. Henry Jeffress (Jake), 80 of Skipwith VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Clarksville Health and Rehab Center.
Mr. Jeffress was born January 1, 1942 in Mecklenburg County to the late Aureila Jefferson and Charlie Mosley, Sr. He was educated in the Mecklenburg County public schools. He was previously employed by Jones Construction and Vulcan Materials Mecklenburg Quarry. Henry was well known in the neighborhood as “Jake”, and to the young ones as “Uncle Jake”. Henry had a great love for dogs; one of his dear friends was JOJO who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted friend, Nannie Davis; three brothers, Anderson Jeffress, Samuel Mosley, and Percy Mosley and one sister, Virginia Little.
Cherishing his memories are two sons, Henry Jeffress, Jr.(Beldora) of Boston, MA, and David Jeffress (Joann) of Dillwyn, VA; three daughters, Carolyn Reynolds (Marshal) of Boydton, VA, Jackie Marks (Isaac) of Stem, NC and Michelle Jeffress of Clarksville, VA; four sisters, Elsie Jeffress and Audrey Oliver (Calvin) both of Chase City, VA, Hattie Burnett (Carl) of Richmond, VA and Beverly Martin (George) of Clarksville, VA; ten grandchildren, Markeze, Keyon, Malik, Shamia, Jordan, Latisha, Daquan, David, Vanessa, Giovanni; eight great-grandchildren; two step- siblings, Geneva Hickman and Delores Williams (Leroy); one sister-in-law, one uncle; extended devoted family, Mary S. Oliver (Harold), Rankin Mosley, James Mosley, Arvis White (Clarence), Marietha Smith (Walter), Annie Clay, and Georgia Walton; devoted neighbors, Norman and Gloria White and Ruby Taylor, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Henry Jeffress will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Toney Smith officiating. Burial will follow in St. Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
