Henry Dailey

Mr. Henry Dailey, 88, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Chase City Health and Rehabilitation, Chase City, VA. Mr. Dailey was born in Charlotte County, VA March 15, 1933 to the late Bylinda and Nannie Edmonds Dailey. He attended Charlotte County Schools, and was a former employee of Virginia Department of Transportation In his spare time he enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dailey was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Seymour Dailey; son, Jack Wilson, and numerous sisters and brothers. He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Frank Wilson (Sheila) of Washington, DC and Dennis Staten (Grindl) Drakes Branch, VA; three daughters, Christobella Graves (Kenneth) of Burlington, NC, Sophia Vereen of South Carolina, Latonia Prophet (Troy) of Clarksville, VA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Dailey of Keysville, VA and Norris Dailey (Ruth) of Red Oak, VA; three sisters, Rosa Lee Skipper of Red Oak, VA, Lorraine Brown (Herman) of Saxe, VA and Barbara Staten (James) of Richmond, VA; best friends, Wylie and Duncan, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 4:00 PM Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Phillip Staten officiating. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a mask will be required for all viewings and services. We ask that you adhere to all guidelines, and practice social distancing. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
