Henry C. Evans

Mr. Henry C. Evans (Sonny), 72, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Monday, August 20, 2012 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Mr. Evans was born in Boydton, VA Nov. 19, 1939 to the late Thomas and Della Estelle Evans. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA. While living in Washington, DC Mr. Evans was employed by Jack and Hall Company. In addition to his parents, Mr. Evans was preceded in death by one daughter, April Dickens and two sisters, Fannie Harris and Pat Evans. Cherishing his memories are two daughters, Annette E. Solomon and Delores Kamari of Washington, DC; four grandchildren, Tamcia, Adrianna, Beanna and Giannia;  six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Logan of Boydton, VA and Edna Gray of Lorain, OH; three brothers, Charles Evans of Courtland, VA, William Evans of Lorain, OH and George Evans (Helen) of Boydton, VA; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Henry C. Evans will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the chapel of C.H. Harris Funeral Home, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Tyrone Pulliam, officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Viewing for Mr. Evans will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
