Henrietta Dodson Weddington

Mrs. Henrietta Dodson Weddington, 84, of Chase City, VA departed this life on Friday, June 21, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Weddington was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on November 22, 1934 to the late George W. and Fannie Betty Dodson. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church. Mrs. Weddington was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Weddington; two brothers, William and Charles Dodson; two sisters, Beulah Dodson Sallie and Irene Dodson Gordon, and one grandson, Andre High. Her love will always remain in the hearts of her two children; Reginald Dodson (Winifred) of Chase City, VA and LaDonna W. Dodson Hardy (Jerry) of Richmond, VA, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; one loving and devoted sister, Leola Dodson Wood of Chase City, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Henrietta Dodson Weddington will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. E. Douglas Reams delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
