Helen King

Mrs. Helen King, 95, of Lacrosse, VA entered eternal rest Friday, March 19, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. King was born in Wightman, VA March 24, 1914 one of seven children born to the late Johnnie and Mary Etta Wilson Thompson; she was a graduate of Wightman Elementary School and a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Robert E. King and four siblings. Cherishing her memories are her daughter, Adline Gillins of Lacrosse, VA; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren one brother, Harry Thompson of Chase City, VA one sister, Endia Salley, of Chase City, VA; sister-in-law, Carrie Thompson; brother-in-law, Ollie Salley of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Helen King will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Lone Oak Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday form 1:00 P.M. until service. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
