Hattie Lee Clay Valdes

Mrs. Hattie Lee Clay Valdes, 86, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Sentara Meadowview Terrace, Clarksville, VA. Mrs. Valdes was born in Buffalo Junction, VA on August 9, 1929 to the late Robert and Bessie Hunt Clay.  She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA. Mrs. Valdes was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose Lee, Martha Lewis and Mary Wood and one brother, William Henry Clay. Cherishing her memories are her loving husband, Orlando Valdes of Clarksville, VA; two sons, Johnnie Darden (Margaruite) of Buffalo Junction, VA and Harry Byrd (Mary) of Clarksville, VA; seven grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Lee Clay Valdes will be conducted 11:00 A. M. Monday, May 9, 2016 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Mack Talley, officiating. Burial will follow in the Williamson Family Cemetery, Buffalo Junction, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H.
