Hattie A. Burrell

Mrs. Hattie Ann Burrell, 94, of Richmond, VA and formerly of Charlotte County, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at CJW Chippenham Medical Center, Richmond, VA. Mrs. Burrell was born in Charlotte County, VA December 18, 1918 to the late Rev. James and Annie Palmer Craighead.  She attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA.  She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Allen Burrell; two sisters and two brothers. Cherishing her memories are her children, Gracie Walker and Joseph Burrell both of Richmond, VA, Katherine Babineaux of North Chesterfield, VA, William Allen Burrell, Jr. (Yvonne) of Essex, VA,  and George Edward Burrell (Victoria) of Capitol Heights, MD; 69 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Julia Roberts and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Ann Burrell will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA with Rev. Tyrone Craighead, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing for family and friends Friday, 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.  Service 2:00 P.M. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 Shiloh Baptist Church Drakes Branch, Virginia Interment Shiloh Bapt.
