Hassie Sue Amis-Dixon

Ms. Hassie Sue Amis-Dixon, 89, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday July 7, 2013 at Meadowview Terrace, Clarksville, VA. Ms. Amis-Dixon was born November 27, 1923 in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Lucy Amis-Newton and William Amis.  She received her education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools, and joined Wharton Memorial Baptist Church at an early age. She later moved to Boston, MA, where she was employed with Sears & Roebuck and Co. Cherishing her memories three children, Charles E. Dixon (Gayle) of Florida, Ronald L. Dixon and Carolyn Dixon Smith (John) of the home; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Amis (Elsie) and Ralph Amis (Dorothy) of Washington, DC; one sister, Maggie Amis-Leake of the home; two special nephews; two special nieces and a host of other  loving relatives and caring friends.  Funeral Services for Ms. Hassie Sue Amis-Dixon will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Wharton Memorial Baptist Church, Nelson, VA with Rev. James Hudson, Jr., Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Wharton Memorial Garden.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon at the church. Arrangements are by C. H.
