Harrie Lee Goode

Mr. Harrie Lee Goode, 78, of Washington, DC and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Monday, October 5, 2015 at his daughter’s residence. Mr. Goode was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on  February 26, 1937 to the late James Robert and Hattie Lucy Coleman Goode.  He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA where he served as a Missionary until his health began to fail.  Mr. Goode was formerly employed at Burlington Industries in Clarksville, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Etta Barnes Goode; five brothers, John Henry, Elmore, Abraham, Gable and Frank Goode and one brother-in-law, Harry Thompson, Sr. Cherishing his memories are one daughter, Bonita Ann Goode of Washington, DC; two sisters, Carrie Thompson of Chase City, VA and Annie Hargrove (Frank) of Lancaster, PA; two brothers-in-law, Robert Barnes (Barbara) of Cullen, VA and Andrew Barnes of Bronx, NY; three sisters-in-law, Francis Goode of South Boston, VA, Trentice Goode of Clarksville, VA and Juanita Goode of Oxford, NC and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Harrie Lee Goode will be conducted 1:30 P.M. Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Roger L. Allen, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.
