Harold N. Barnette, Sr.

Mr. Harold Nathaniel Barnette, Sr., 63, of Chase City, VA and formerly of South Hill, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Farmville Health and Rehabilitation, Farmville, VA. Mr. Barnette was born in Mecklenburg County, VA January 1, 1956 to the late Robert, Sr. and Helen Moore Barnette. He received his education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools, and was a member of Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. Mr. Barnette enjoyed fishing, sports and the Dallas Cowboys. He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Harold Barnette, Jr. of Chase City, VA; three brothers, Robert Barnette Jr. (Janice) of Mechanicsville, VA, James Barnette and Jerome Barnette, Sr. both of Chase City, VA; three sisters, Carmille Barnette, Gayle Barnette and Jacqueline Barnette, all of Chase City, VA; one aunt, Mildred Fuller, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Pastor Tony Thompson delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
