Harold Craig Rogers

Mr. Harold Craig Rogers, 68, of Richmond, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, December 6, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Rogers was born in Orange, NJ July 6, 1952, one of four children born to the late Harold Henry and Lertie Jiggets Rogers. He attended Orange High School in Orange, NJ; upon graduating he served in the United States Navy. He was a former employee of the East Orange Veteran Hospital, East Orange, NJ. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Cheryl Morse on October 7, 1995, there were no children born to this union. Cherishing his memories are his wife of 25 years, Cheryl Morse-Rogers of Richmond, VA; daughter, Halymah Rogers; three grandchildren, Jamar Hurd, Janiah Hurd and Alex Cotto; brother, Robert Jiggetts of Marietta, GA; sister-in-law, Phyllis Morse-Doctry of Chesterfield, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by two sisters, Toni Gomez and Stephanie Carter. A graveside service will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday December 12, 2020 at Saint Taylor RZUA Church Cemetery, 520 Rosehill Road, Boydton, VA officiated by Rev. Lovely Moore. Public viewing will Saturday, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a mask will be required for all viewings and services. We ask that you adhere to all guidelines, and practice social distancing. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
