Gracie Mae Boyd Logan

Mrs. Gracie Mae Boyd Logan, 59, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, February 24, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Logan was born in South Boston, VA April 20, 1958 to the late Harold Burton and Rose Ida Boyd. She was a 1977 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Boydton, VA. She was employed as a private duty home health aide. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Logan was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Logan and her son, Wash Davis. Cherishing her memories are two daughters, Pamela Davis and Janet Davis both of Chase City, VA; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her mother-in-law, Alice Logan of Boydton, VA; four sisters-in-law, Ernestine Logan-Simmons, Adele Logan and Betty Jean Logan all of Boydton, VA and Dorothy Greene of South Hill, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Gracie Mae Boyd Logan will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Tyrone Craighead, officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
