Grace Inez Bigger

Ms. Grace Inez Bigger, 87, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, May 4, 2018 at her residence. Ms. Bigger was born in Chase City, VA July 30, 1930 to the late George Edward and Rebecca Gayles King. She was a graduate of historic Thyne Institute in Chase City, VA, a member of Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA, and worked as a caregiver. In addition to her parents, Ms. Bigger was preceded in death by her brothers, Harvey, Haley, James, Willie and Alfred King; sisters, Elnora Beaman, Sallie K. Wade and Zelma King. Cherishing her memories are her sons, Cavin Bigger (Mia) of Richmond, VA and Arthur Herbert Bigger (Nichole) of Newark, NJ; daughter, Vanessa Bigger Baskerville (Floyd) of Chase City, VA; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Aussie Haynes of New York, NY and Juanita Lyons (William) of Chase City, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dennis King delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held Friday from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
