Geneva Henderson Hunt

Ms. Geneva Henderson Hunt, 72, of Franklin, VA and formerly of Buffalo Junction, VA returned to her heavenly father on November 15, 2022 at her residence.

Ms. Hunt was born in Buffalo Junction, VA March 16, 1950 to the late Thomas and Susie Henderson. She received her education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools and was a 1969 graduate of West End High School. Following graduation, she relocated to Arlington, VA where she found gainful employment. She met and married Alexander Hunt and relocated to Franklin, VA. She was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Aide until her health began to fail. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing yard work and Word Search puzzles.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Vonetta Y. Hunt of Richmond, VA; her son, Alex T. Hunt of Jarrett, VA; a granddaughter, Cierra C. Hunt; a grandson, Caleb A. Hunt; a great-grandson, Jonathan D. Hunt; five sisters, Maggie H. Reed of Arlington, VA, Josephine Gambill of Winston Salem, NC Katherine Tucker of Newark, NJ, Shirley Henderson of South Hill, VA and Barbara A. Johnson of Boydton, VA; two brothers, Edward L. Henderson (Rosalind) of Boydton, VA and Bernard Henderson of Woodbridge, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 at the chapel of C.H. Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Terry, officiating. Burial will follow in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be on Sunday from 2 until 6 PM.
