Gary Lewis Alexander

Mr. Gary Lewis Alexander, 54, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Alexander, affectionately known as “Big G” was born in South Hill, VA on January 19, 1970 to the late Norfleet Roosevelt Alexander and Betty Gale Harris. He attended the public schools of Mecklenburg County, VA, and was presently employed with the Town of Boydton with 24 years of dedicated service. He was also an active 29-year member of the Boydton Volunteer Fire Department. Gary was always there when anyone needed him. His love for Hannah, his family and friends was never questioned, even his love for his horses that he adored.

He is survived by his daughter, Hannah Alexander and her mom, Kim Evans; his sister, Cynthia Alexander; brothers, Joe Alexander (Renee) and Timmy Alexander; a very special aunt, Jean Hawkes, whom help raise him and her son who was like a brother, Ladonta Hawkes (Angel); special friends, Megan & Jordan, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Gary Lewis Alexander will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will begin on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M.
