Fred Roosevelt Revis

Mr. Fred Roosevelt Revis, 81, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, June 14, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Revis was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on June 8, 1938 to the late John Thomas and Willie Mae Strobber Revis. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA, and was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Clarksville. Mr. Revis was formerly employed by Herbert Ramsey Construction as a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, boating, and swimming. In addition to his parents, Mr. Revis was preceded in death by two sisters, Elwillie Baskerville and Mable Woodson, and three brothers, Edward and Arthur Revis and Buck Williams. He leaves to cherish his loving memories his devoted wife of 58 years, Alice Skipwith Revis of Clarksville, VA; one daughter, Margaret Jackson (Curtis) of Clarksville, VA; four grandchildren, Dominic Jackson (Katrina) of Greensboro, NC, Brandy Jackson of Wendell, NC, Courtney Jackson of Clarksville, VA and Curtis Jackson (Deja) of Pensacola, FL; four great-grandchildren, Jalen, Rowan, Kendal and Peighton; one brother, Johnny Revis (Eleanor) of Clarksville, VA, three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mr. Fred Roosevelt Revis will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 21, 2019 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
