Frank Roosevelt Newton

Mr. Frank Roosevelt Newton, 77, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, January 14, 2011 at Meadowview Terrace, Clarksville, VA. Mr. Newton was born in Mecklenburg County, VA July 7, 1933 to the late Albert a Sr. and Annie Carrington Newton. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA. Cherishing his memories are beloved friend, Rosa Newton of Clarksville, VA; three sons, Franklin Roosevelt Newton Jr.,  James Curtis Newton (Renee)  and Kenneth Lee Newton (Rhonda) all of Washington, DC; one daughter, Valerie Newton of Durham, NC; 23 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Viola Davis of Irvington, NJ;   three brothers, Albert Newton of Atlanta GA, Joe Newton of East Orange, NJ, and Charles Newton of Clarksville, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mr. Frank Roosevelt Newton will be conducted Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Cherry Hill Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. James W. Lester, officiating. Inurnment will follow in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 Noon until service time. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
