Frances R. Holloway

Frances Elvira Roy Holloway, 84, a resident of Montgomery, AL departed this life Tuesday, December 14, 2010.   Mrs. Holloway was born to Jesse Roy and Mary L. Roy on October 5, 1926. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester Roy, Sr. and Jesse L. Roy.  She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband of 62 years, Clarence W. Holloway; children, Clarence A. Holloway, Wheaton IL, Jocelyn D. Holloway, Roanoke VA, Quesnay A. Holloway, San Francisco, CA and Deserene H. Worsley (Marcus), Laurel, MD; sister, Nora L. Roy, Nashville, TN; brother- in-law, Dwight F. Holloway (Ruby), Suitland, MD; sister- in- laws, Annie H. Holmes, Meherrin, VA and Lilly Roy, Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Meghan Worsley, Taylor Worsley, Katrina W. Hush (Thaddeus), and Bryan Worsley (Kim); nephews, Chester A. Roy, Jr. Columbus, OH and Attorney Richard (Rick) Gardner, Richmond, VA; close family friends, Bradley H. Dobbins, New Castle, VA and Rosemarie Frey, Wheaton, IL; extended family, Myrtle P. Jones & children and grandchildren of the late Robert F. Jones; and longtime friend and helper, Martha Duncan.   Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Dexter Avenue Memorial Baptist Church, Montgomery, AL, with Rev. Michael Thurman, officiating. Burial will take place 11:00 A.M Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery Victoria, VA.  Rev. Dr. Richard W. Wills, Sr. will officiate. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
