Frances Crawley Tyler

Mrs. Frances Crawley Tyler, 94, of Keysville, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Wayland Nursing Home, Keysville, VA.

Mrs. Tyler was born July 23, 1929 in Charlotte County, VA to the late Jannie Clark Crawley and Silas Crawley. She was educated in Charlotte County Public schools and joined the First Baptist Church of Wylliesburg, VA. Mrs. Tyler was married to the late Leslie Tyler and for many years she worked as a cook. She loved to sing and used her God given talent to bring joy to others through music. She was a member of the church’s senior choir, and for many years she sang with the gospel group, the Friendly Echoes.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Frances was preceded in death by four sisters, Bertha, Georgia, Rosa and Betty; and one brother, Andrew.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory one sister, Janie Crawley of Appomattox, VA; four nieces, Brenda Crawley of New York, NY, Elizabeth Middough of Alexandria, VA, Eunice Mayo of Charleston, SC and Vickie Crawley of Fort Washington, MD; four great-nieces, four great-nephews, a long-time friend, Virginia Dailey, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Crawley Tyler will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 10, 2025 at First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA with Rev. Opie Terrell, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will begin on Monday from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. at the church.
