Fountain Cornell Moody, Jr.

Mr. Fountain Cornell Moody, Jr., 62, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, October 28, 2022 in Pen Argyl, PA.

Mr. Moody was born in South Boston, VA on May 19, 1960 to Margaret Gregory Moody and the late Rev. Fountain C. Moody. He accepted Christ at an early age, joining St. Level Baptist Church where he sang in the young adult choir. Mr. Moody was also a founding member of the Gospel Sensations. He attended the public schools of Charlotte County, VA, and furthered his education at Virginia State University. Mr. Moody was a veteran of the United States Army.

He began his career as a long-haul truck driver with Huss Trucking in Chase City, VA, working for various companies throughout the years. He was the owner and operator of Moody’s Enterprise, Inc, and was currently employed by Triple E. Trucking.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harrison Kenneth Moody.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his loving daughter, Dominique Moody (DaWayne); two grandsons, DaWayne, Jr. and Kal-El; his mother, Margaret G. Moody; sister, Mary T. Moody-Mumford (Danny); brothers, Curtis and Ferman Moody; uncles, Harrison and Rufus Gregory; aunts, Marjorie M. Banks and Mattie E. Moody, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Fountain C. Moody, Jr. will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 6, 2022 at St. Level Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Toney Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
