Florence Loretta Puryear

Ms. Florence Loretta Puryear, 56, of Arlington, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Ms. Puryear was born in Arlington, VA on May 23, 1966 to the late Alfred Elliot and Mary Virginia White Puryear. She received her early education in Arlington County Schools, and furthered her education at Grand Canyon University. Ms. Puryear attended various churches in Arlington. She was a former community resource worker and caregiver. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, writing, dancing, and playing games on the computer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Diane Puryear; two brothers, Johnny Cornell Puryear and Alfred Duncan Puryear, one niece, and one nephew.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory two sons, Jeremy Jacobs and Jamonte Puryear; four daughters, Jessica Puryear, Leah Sharps, Denise Puryear and Dinah Puryear; seven grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Puryear Stephens; her devoted friend, Rodney Thomas, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Florence L. Puryear will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Elder Charles Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the White Family Cemetery, Skipwith, VA. Public viewing will begin on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M.
