Mr. Fletcher Adolphus Cook “Bully”, 82, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Monday, November 8, 2010 at Meadowview Terrace, Clarksville, VA. Mr. Cook was born in Mecklenburg County, VA June 30, 1928 to the late Harold and Victoria Shields Cook. He was the valedictorian of his West End High School class, and received an academic scholarship to Virginia State College. Mr. Cook was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church, Clarksville; a veteran of the U S Navy and was a retiree of Western Electric of Kearney, NJ In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel S. Cosby, his second wife, Bernice Fuller and two sisters Rosa Williams and Amy Ray. Cherishing his memories are his son, David Cook of Orange, NJ;  step daughter, Kim Fuller-Reid (Anthony) of Fairfax Station, VA;  two step sons, Norman Fuller (Janis)  Alexandria, VA and Kelvin Fuller (Robin) Dumfries, VA; eight step-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren;  one brother, Harold Cook (Ella) McGuire Nursing Home, Richmond, VA; three sisters, Lois Cook, Clarksville; Bettie Terry, Buffalo Jct., and Judith Gerald of Tacoma, WA; four sisters in law; Lorraine Fuller, Carolyn Fuller, Ella Cook,  and Evelyn Jordan; four brothers-in- law, Alfred Fuller, Clarksville, Charles Terry, Buffalo Jct., Chalmer Gerald of Tacoma, WA, and Allen Cosby of Baltimore, MD; one aunt, Mrs. Marie Cook of Clarksville and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral service for Mr. Fletcher A. Cook will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA, with Rev. Cornelius Ogburn, officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
