Fannie Woodson

Miss Fannie Woodson, 92, of Washington, D.C. and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Monday, September 14, 2009. Miss Woodson was born in Halifax County, VA October 30, 1916 to the late Willie and Lydia Mayo Woodson. Miss Woodson was a beautician for over 30 years. Cherishing her memories is a son, Leotha Woodson of Washington DC; two sisters Geneva Taylor of Drakes Branch, VA and Dora Kelly; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Miss Fannie Woodson will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Mt. Mitchell Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA with Rev. Fran S. Jackson, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
