Fannie Jones Terry

Mrs. Fannie Jones Terry, 82, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Meadow View Terrace, Clarksville, VA. Mrs. Terry was born in Mecklenburg County, VA May 5, 1928 to the late Tom and Betsy C. Jones. She was a member of Saint John Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA where she served as Deaconess, Sunday school teacher, Missionary and Choir member. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Accia Terry, Sr. and a son, Jerry Clarence Terry. Cherishing her memories are eleven children, James Edward Terry (Jenny) of Arlington, VA, Chester Lewis Terry (Latrice) of West Columbia, SC, Catherine Jones and Laureen Burton (Larry),  Henderson, NC, Accie Terry Jr. (Mable), Clarksville, VA, Rev. Earl Terry (Rose), Buffalo Junction, VA, Michael Lee Terry (Mozell) and  Teresa Ann Bullock (Barry), Oxford, NC, Melvin Thomas Terry (Cynthia), Boydton, VA, Mary Ann Lewis (Victor), Clarksville, VA and Marcella Terry, Durham, NC; 32 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Charlotte Walker, Laura Kelly, Rebecca Wardrick all of Newark, NJ and Carolyn Jeffries of Irvington, NJ; seven sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Jones Terry will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Saint John Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with her son, Rev. Earl Terry delivering the eulogy and Rev. Charles Sands assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
