Fannie Johnson Hepburn Powell

Mrs. Fannie Madeline Johnson Hepburn Powell of Elkton, MD transitioned to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Spencer Hepburn, Sr. and Reverend William E. Powell, and one grandchild. Mrs. Powell is survived by her children, Enid Hepburn Lindsay, Richmond, VA, Carolyn Hepburn White (James), Elkton, MD, Phyllis Hepburn Parker (Eugene Sr.), Langhorne, PA, Spencer Hepburn, Jr. (Clara), Dinwiddie, VA, Marty Hepburn, Sr. (Cheryl), Greensboro, NC; her step-children, all of North Chesterfield, VA, Florence Powell Branch, Connie Powell Johnson, Barbara Powell Allen, Colonius Powell, Roland Powell; her siblings, Cora Juanita Johnson Hudgins (Winfred P. Sr.), Clarksville, VA, Henry Johnson (Estella), Tinton Falls, NJ; 10 grandchildren , 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Madeline Johnson Hepburn Powell will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Friday, September 21, 2018 with the family receiving friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time at Amity Baptist Church, 1407 N. Mecklenburg Avenue, South Hill, VA with Rev. Cornelius A. Ogburn officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park, South Hill, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 12:00 noon until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
