Everlean Boyd

Miss Everlean Boyd, 55, of Washington, DC entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 6, 2021. Miss Boyd was born the third oldest of six children in Washington, DC on August 18, 1965 to the late Adam Tyree Boyd and Corrine Ophelia Boyd (Mathis). She received her early education from the District of Columbia Public Schools, graduating from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, MD. She held several jobs including working in security with Master Security Company. She was also employed with her late brother’s cleaning company, R. Mathis Cleaning Services, Inc. She was a dedicated caregiver who enjoyed trips to visit family in Chase City, VA. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching stories, Lifetime movies, music and dancing, and attending family gatherings. In addition to her parents, Miss Boyd was preceded in death by her siblings, Rodney and Carolyn. She leaves to cherish and celebrate her memory her three children, Anthony Boyd (Reva), Briana Boyd, and Makayla Boyd; four grandchildren, Corrine Boyd, Anthony Boyd, Rian Boyd, and Skylar Boyd; three siblings, Adam Boyd Jr (Shawn), Keith Boyd (Jocelyn), and Cheryl Williams (Michael); and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family and friends. A funeral service for Miss Everlean Boyd will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA (seating will be limited) with Rev. Marvin Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd Family Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
