Mr. Everette Marshall Royster, Sr., 54 of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest Friday March 23, 2007 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mr. Royster was born in Mecklenburg County, VA May 14, 1952 to the late William Royster and Ella Watkins Sydnor Royster; He attended the public schools of Mecklenburg County and was a member of Saint Mark Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA. Mr. Royster served his country faithfully by joining the US Army for 8 years and worked for over 20 years in the Federal Government. Mr. Royster received many awards and commendations for his excellent service as a Telecommunications Specialist including a Career Commendation Award. Mr. Royster was previously married to Brenda Carrington and to this union two children were born: Marsha and Everette Jr. Years later, he met and married Sarah David on April 4, 1991 and to this union one child, William, was born.Cherishing his memories is his wife, Mrs. Sarah Royster of Fredericksburg, VA; two sons, Everette Marshall Royster, Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA. and William Melessa Royster of Skipwith, VA; one daughter, Mrs. Marsha Lynette White of Reston, VA; a niece, Ms. Tamera LyCheryl Pettus of Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren, D’Avyon Marshell Royster, Cha’Mya Evette Royster, Ja’Naia Lee Royster, Dome’Nic Everette Royster, Donovan Chermark White, Dylan Knowha White and Jaida Karilyn White; two step-granddaughters, Chermara Laineen White and Asia-Aylana Simone White; a great nephew, Markiis Javari Edmunds; one brother, James Richard Sydnor of Buffalo Junction, VA. one sister, Wilmer Gross of College Park, MD; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Carol Sydnor; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Everette Marshall Royster will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Saint Mark Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Harold Watkins, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at C.H. Harris Funeral Home, Clarksville, VA. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 216 Fourth Street, Clarksville, VA.
