Evelyn Isabella Johnson

Ms. Evelyn Isabella Johnson, 73, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at her residence. Ms. Johnson was born in December 16, 1937 to the late Charles and Beatrice Kirby Toone. She was a graduate of Yonkers High School, Yonkers, NY and was a retired Eligibility Specialist for the New York Dept. of Social Services. In addition to her parents, Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Johnson Jr. Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Robin C. Johnson of Chase City, VA; grandchildren, Tiffany M. Johnson, Evelyn N. Johnson, Julian C. Johnson (Akua); one aunt, Mary Lowery, nephews, Darrell Johnson, Billy Johnson, Eugene Johnson Jr., Christopher Toone, Bernard Toone Jr.; one niece, Kim Toone Saidykhan; devoted cousins, Vivienne E. Crier-Fowler and William H. Crier and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Evelyn Isabella Johnson will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Mount Mitchell Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA with Rev. Fran S. Jackson, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
