Mrs. Eva Mae Alston, 94 of Henderson, NC entered eternal rest Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation, Henderson, NC. Mrs. Alston was born in Vance County, NC June 11, 1919 to the late James L. Evans and Mary Hamilton Evans. Prior to retiring she was employed as a nurse’s assistant at Women's Medical in Philadelphia, PA. Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Frances White of West Berlin, NJ; one grandson, Michael A. Brummell of West Berlin, NJ; 10 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Hanks of Townsville, NC and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Services will be private; burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Henderson, NC. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA Services Private
