Miss Eva Luvern Speede, 84, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Miss Speede was born in Mecklenburg County, VA December 8, 1934 to the late James E. and Vivian Tuck Speede. She enjoyed playing with dolls and coloring in coloring books. In addition to her parents, Miss Speede was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jean Speede and her brother, Lawrence Speede. Left to cherish her precious memories are her sister, Etta D. Watkins (Ervin) of Nelson, VA and her brother, James L. Speede all of Nelson, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Wharton Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, Nelson, VA with Rev. Dr. James A. Hudson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Wharton Memorial Gardens, Nelson. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
