Mrs. Eva Lou Wilson, 84, of Drakes Branch, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Wilson was born in Charlotte County, VA on May 21, 1935 to the late Percy and Alease Brooks Mosley. She received her early education at Salem School in Red Oak, VA, and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, watching TV, dancing and bingo. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Wilson; sons, Herbert Mosley and Josh Wilson; sisters, Ola M. Carden, Florence Lee, Blanche Marie Mosley and Arlene Mosley; brothers, Edridge Mosley and Tell Mosley. Cherishing her memories are eight children, Blanche Goode of Red Oak, VA, Acre Wilson (Janet) of Drakes Branch, VA, Lynn Wilson (Karen) and Randy Wilson (Shavon) all of Saxe, VA Howard Dailey, Jr., Reese Dailey and Ben Dailey all of Red Oak, VA and Harvey Wilson of Drakes Branch, VA; 27 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, one sister, Sarah Johnson; a half-brother, Willie Redd; two sisters-in-law, Sudy Mosley and Betty Mosley, and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends. A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Eva Lou Wilson will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 22, 2020 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Red Oak, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
