Mr. Eugene Fredric Lee, 94, of Bullock, NC entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Granville Medical Center, Oxford, NC. Mr. Lee was born in Prince Edward County, VA on September 16, 1922 to the late Rev. Willie F. Lee and Lydia Pearson. He attended high school in rural Virginia and was a member of Island Hill Christian Church, Clarksville, VA. Mr. Lee was a skilled bricklayer, and volunteered his time as an ambulance driver for the Galloway Township New Jersey ambulance squad. He also worked at the Granville County jail in Oxford, NC as a prison guard where he was the oldest guard in their history. Mr. Lee was a World War II veteran, having served in the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lee was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Cherishing his memories are his children, Colette Lee-Edwards (Elliott) of Sicklerville, NJ and Craig Eugene Lee of Philadelphia, PA; two grandchildren, Wesley and Taylor Edwards; brother-in-law and devoted caregivers, Rev. Curtis McRae, Jr. (Millie) and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 15, 2017 at Island Hill Christian Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Curtis McRae, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
