Emily Delores Brummell

Mrs. Emily Delores Brummell, 71, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Friday, October 29, 2010 at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. Mrs. Brummell was born in Vance County, NC Aug. 24, 1939 to the late Theopolis and Virginia McGhee Scott.  She attended the schools of Vance County, NC and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA, where she served on the Kitchen Committee. She was formerly employed by Outdoor Supply, Oxford, NC and Russell Stover Candies, Clarksville, VA. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Augustus Loring Brummell of Clarksville, VA; two brothers, Theodore Scott of Townsville, NC and George Scott of Bullock, NC; three brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Delores Brummell will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Cornelius Ogburn, Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
