Emanuel M. Wilson

Mr. Emanuel M. Wilson, 94, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, January 12, 2007 at Britthaven of Keysville, VA.Mr. Wilson was born November 18, 1912  in Portsmouth, VA.   Later in life he moved to Yonkers, NY where he was employed by DeFeo Cadillac. He was a member of the James H. Ferrell Masonic Lodge # 34 in NY, and was a member of Mt. Mitchell Baptist Church, Fort Mitchell, VA.Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, one step-daughter and a sister.Cherishing his memories is a devoted step-daughter, Evelyn Toone-Johnson of Hollis Queens, NY; step-grandchildren, Robin Johnson, Kim Toone, Christopher Toone and Bernard Toone; seven step great-grandchildren, Julian Johnson, Evelyn Johnson, Tiffany Johnson, Quentin Toone, Justice Williams, Tyler Toone and LaCrecia Toone; a loving sister-in-law, Mary Lowery of Baltimore, MD and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.Funeral services for Mr. Emanuel M. Wilson will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Mt. Mitchell Baptist Church, Ft. Mitchell, VA with Rev. Fran Jackson, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
