Ella Mae Williams

Mrs. Ella Mae Williams, 87, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Mrs. Williams was born in Mecklenburg County, VA June 6, 1920 to the late Robert E. and Nancy Overby Lee. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Boydton, VA where she sang in the choir was a member of the official board and was a deaconess. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Williams and one grandchild, Tonya Fisher and one daughter-in-law. She is remembered in love by one daughter, Rosa Evans (Carol) of Boydton, VA; one son, Willie Williams of Boydton, VA; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, two foster grandchildren; three brothers, Edward Lee of Buffalo Junction, VA, John Lee of Boydton, VA and Frank Lee of Richmond, VA; two sisters, Octavia Alexander of Skipwith, VA and Magdaline Moore of Richmond, VA; two brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, a devoted cousin, Rosa Hargrove, devoted friend Lawrence Baskerville and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Mae Williams will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at New Hope Baptist Church, Boydton, VA with Rev. Earl Terry, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 216 4th Street, Clarksville, VA.
