Elizabeth Winn Janey

Mrs. Elizabeth Winn Janey, 63 of Baltimore, MD and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, March 12, at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Janey was born in Mecklenburg County, VA July 4, 1950 to the late Edward and Rebecca Winn. She received her education in the Mecklenburg County Schools and was a member of Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. She was a factory worker from an early age until her health failed her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lincoln and Edward Junior. Cherishing her memories are three brothers, William (Sari) and Michael of Cleveland, OH, Joseph (Gail) of Lunenburg, VA; one adopted brother, James Cheatham of Fort Mitchell, VA; one sister-in-law, Helen; God-daughter, Donna Williams and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Winn Janey will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Tony Thompson, officiating. Burial will follow in Berean Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends Monday, 10:00 A.M until 7:00 P.M.
