Elizabeth White Burton

Mrs. Elizabeth White Burton, 83, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Burton was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on December 1, 1937 to the late Robert Earl White and Eleanor Roberts White. She started her formal education at Mill Grove School and later graduated as Salutatorian from West End High School in 1956. Mrs. Burton was a member of Berean Baptist Church; while there she served as an usher for many years and later as a deaconess. She was formerly employed by Jonbil, Hampco and Burlington Industries. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by her sister, Louise White Marable. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 55 years, Albert Burton, Sr,; daughter, Karen Burton; son, Albert Burton, Jr. (LaTonya); one granddaughter, Tamia Burton; her niece, Octavia Marable, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Graveside services for Mrs. Elizabeth White Burton will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Berean Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris officiating. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a mask will be required for all viewings and services. We ask that you adhere to all guidelines, and practice social distancing. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
