Elijah Redd

Mr. Elijah Redd, 83, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest on June 16, 2023 at Clarksville Health and Rehab Center, Clarksville, VA.
Mr. Redd was born in Red Oak, VA on February 3, 1940 to the late Willie Redd and Sally Morton. He attended Charlotte County Public School and was also a member of Salem Baptist Church. In his spare time, Elijah enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards with friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Marie Redd; four step-children; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three special nieces, Chuck, Rosa May, and Ann Harris, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Elijah Redd will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the chapel of Giles- Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Minister Barbara Hazelwood, officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Red Oak, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
