Eleanor Roberts White

Mrs. Eleanor Roberts White 93, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, July 17, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. White was born in Lunenburg County, VA June 12, 1916 to the late Noten and Beulah Hayes Roberts. She attended Mill Grove School in Mecklenburg County, VA and was a homemaker. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband Robert Earl White and six siblings. Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Burton (Albert) of Chase City, VA.; three grandchildren, Karen Burton, Octavia Marable, and Albert Burton Jr. (Latonya) all of Chase City, VA.; one great-granddaughter, Tamia Burton; one sister, Freddi Roberts of Brooklyn, NY..; one brother, Harold Roberts of Richmond, VA; two sisters-in-law, Inese White and Susie White both of Chase City, VA. and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Roberts White will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Berean Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St. Chase City, VA.
