Edward Mason

Mr. Edward Mason, 65, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, September 18, 2014 at The Woodview, South Boston, VA. Mr. Mason was born in Mecklenburg County, VA September 20, 1948 to the late William Robert and Mary Estelle Christmas Mason. He received his education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools and was a member of Antioch United Church of Christ, Townsville, NC. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served a tour in  the Vietnam War. Mr. Mason was previously employed at Burlington Industries for 30 years in the research and development department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Southall and James Thomas Mason and one sister, Mary Mason Cole. Cherishing his memories are a wife, Jacqueline; two brothers, William R. Mason, Jr. (Shirley) of Boydton, VA, Wilson Mason (Mary) of Clarksville, VA; two sisters-in-law, Joyce and Ollie and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Edward Mason will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 22, 2014 at the chapel of C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Rev. Charles D. Allen, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Antioch United Church of Christ Cemetery, Townsville, NC. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
