Mrs. Edith Marie Clark, 67, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, February 19, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Clark was born in Mecklenburg County, VA July 12, 1953 to the late Robert Lee and Ella Coleman Oliver. She attended West End High School, Skipwith, VA and was a member of Greater Union Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Russell Stover Candies, Clarksville, VA. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Clark; brothers, Ernest and Marvin Oliver; sisters, Shirley Barnette and Joyce Ann Daniel; and grandsons, Erik and Evan Smith. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, four daughters, Darlene Hayes (Eric) and Wilma Smith (Eric) all of Chase City, VA, Tamie Clark of Virgilina, VA and Shawn Tucker of Petersburg, VA; one son, Jeffrey Clark of Chase City, VA; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters, Thelma Marable (Bobby) and Earnestine Oliver both of Chase City, VA; one brother, Willie Oliver (Mattie) of Chase City, VA; six sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Marie Clark will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 24, 2021 on the campus of Greater Union Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Linda Goode, officiating. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 PM. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a mask will be required for all viewings and services. We ask that you adhere to all guidelines, and practice social distancing. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
