Edgar (Eddie) Dressler, Jr.

Mr. Edgar (Eddie) Dressler, Jr., 30, of Clarksville, VA passed away May 17, 2018. He was born August 10, 1987 in Freehold, New Jersey, and is the son of Julia and Edgar Dressler, Sr. He spent most of his youth in Mecklenburg County, VA and graduated from Bluestone High School in 2005, where he was president of “jump in the back of the pickup” club with his friends. Many things in life came very easy to Eddie because of his laid back, friendly disposition, and great memory. He was known for his boundless reservoir of obscure facts about anything from history to transportation. Eddie’s greatest gift was his capacity for love, which he expressed often to his family and friends. For to love and be loved is the greatest accomplishment of all. Eddie is survived by his parents, Julia and Edgar; his brother, Max and sisters, Nicole and Charlene. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Jennifer Phillips of Raleigh, NC, and his extended family in New Jersey and New York. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at the family home in Clarksville on Thursday, May 24th at 1 p.m. with the service beginning at 4 p.m. Rev. Kenneth Johnson will deliver words of comfort.
