Earnest Jr. Mcfail

Mr. Earnest “Fella” McFail, Jr., 62, of South Hill, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, March 22, 2014 at VCU-MCV Hospitals and Physicians, Richmond, VA. Mr. McFail was born in Mecklenburg County, VA February 2, 1952 to the late Earnest McFail, Sr. and Roberta McFail.  He received his education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools. Upon graduating, he joined Job Corp and moved to Baltimore, MD where he lived for many years before moving back home.  He was presently employed at Jones Apparel in South Hill, VA. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Willie and James Otis Studivant and Ben and Benard Clark and three sisters, Martha Bacon, Rosa A. Bullock and Linda M. Burton. Cherishing his memories are one daughter, Theresa McFail of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his mother, Roberta McFail; seven brothers, John Studivant, Harold Clark, Tyrone McFail (Marion), Sandy McFail (Delores) and Edward McFail (Hester) all of Chase City, VA, Earl Pettus of Baltimore, MD and Mac Taylor of Long Island, NY; four sisters, Juanita Jones (Herman) and Priscilla McFail of Chase City, VA, Sylvia J. McFail of Baltimore, MD and Angela Taylor of Chocowinity, NC; one uncle, Elick Jones of Baltimore, MD; four aunts, Ella and Sheree Jones of Baltimore, MD, Amor L. Watson of Cleveland, OH and Pattie Keene of Chase City, VA; devoted friends, Linda Palley, Mary V. Tucker, James Osborne, Roy Brooks, Lucinda Tate and Wanda Watson and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Earnest McFail, Jr. will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer, officiating.  Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden. Public viewing for family and friends will be held Friday, 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.   Service 11:00 A.M.
