Earnest Brooks

Mr. Earnest Brooks (Bunny) 56, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at his residence.  Mr. Brooks was born in Charlotte County, Virginia April 13, 1952 to the late Richard H. and Mary C. Brooks. He attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA and was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA.  Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.  Cherishing his memories are three sisters, Evelyn Brown and Gwen Canada of Chase City, VA and Rosa Williams of Philadelphia, PA; two adopted sisters, Marcia Oliver of Richmond, VA and Joyce Harris of Chase City, VA; two brothers, Herman Brooks of Chase City, VA and Harvey Brooks of Falls Church, VA; one stepdaughter, Rose Jones (Kenneth) of Chase City, VA; two sisters-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.  Funeral services for Mr. Earnest Brooks will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Red Oak, VA.  Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
