Mr. Earl L. Dailey, 73, of South Boston, VA and formerly of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, April 7, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Dailey was born in Charlotte County, VA April 15, 1938 to the late Willie and Marie Haskins Dailey. He attended Charlotte County Schools, was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA and a US Army veteran. Mr. Dailey was a former employee of ABB, South Boston, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dailey was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer Dailey and Wilbert (Dip) Dailey.  Mr. Dailey was married to Mrs. Arlene Dailey; this union was blessed with one son. Cherishing his memories are one son, Earl (Andy) Dailey of Drakes Branch, VA; three grandchildren, three sisters, Doris Gibson of Philadelphia, PA, Edith Williams (Williard) of TN and Eunice Burton of Drakes Branch, VA; five brothers, Sherman Brown (Alberta) of Red Oak, VA, Linward Dailey (Irma) and Milton Dailey (Virginia) all of Randolph, VA, Drewie Dailey (Bernice) of Orange, NJ and Horace Dailey of Laurelton, NY; devoted friend Ada Martin of South Boston, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Earl L. Dailey will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, officiating. Burial with military honors provided by Post 99 will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing for Mr. Dailey will begin 12:00 Noon Friday at the church. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
