Mr. Earl Alexander Mosley, 73, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Monday, January 26, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mr. Mosley was born in Richmond, VA March 3, 1935. At the age of 8 he was adopted by the late Charlie Mosley and Mary Dailey Mosley and moved to Red Oak, VA. He attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA and was employed by Jonbil Manufacturing before becoming disabled. Earl was preceded in death by his adoptive parents Charlie and Mary Mosley and one brother, Sterling Mosley. Cherishing his memories is one brother, Calvin Mosley (Rosa); three step-sisters, three step-brothers, one aunt, Minister Hattie Brooks; one nephew, Calvin “Bo” Mosley (Sharon); three nieces, Carolyn (Kevin), Natalie Mosley and Victoria Mosley-Terry; a host of great nieces, great nephews; devoted caretaker, Christopher Hubbard; two special friends Charlie Pettus Jr. and Rev. Tom Pettus and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Earl Alexander Mosley will be conducted 1:30 P.M. Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Prophet Harry L. Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St., Chase City, VA.
