Dwight Eric Tucker, Jr.

Mr. Dwight Eric Tucker, Jr., affectionately known as “Thumpa”, 25, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in Chase City, VA. Mr. Tucker was born in South Hill, VA on October 7, 1991 to Dwight E., Sr. and Dorothy Brooks Tucker. He was a graduate of Randolph Henry High School, Charlotte Court House, VA, later attending Job Corps. He furthered his education at Southside Virginia Community College, Keysville, VA where he completed Truck Driving Training. He was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA and was currently employed by Hudson Trucking in Drakes Branch. Eric was a polite young man who always greeted you with a smile. He enjoyed basketball, racing, fishing, music and driving trucks. Cherishing his memories are his son, A’mir Eric Tucker of Keysville, VA; his parents, Dwight Eric, Sr. and Dorothy D. Tucker of Red Oak, VA; one brother, Daquan Tucker of Lacrosse, VA; grandparents, Rena Brooks of Chase City, VA and Charles “Pop” and Derperdine Webster of Skipwith, VA; special devoted friend, Latifa Rawlings of Keysville, VA; aunts and uncles, Jack Brooks of Chase City, VA, Charles Webster, Jr. (Vitrona) of Petersburg, VA, Anthony Hayes (Jacqueline) of Chase City, VA and Sharon Townes of Northern, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Dwight Eric Tucker, Jr. will be conducted 3:00 P.M., Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Willie L. Carter, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
