Douglas Calvin Jennings, Jr.

Mr. Douglas Calvin Jennings, Jr., 52, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at VCU Hospital, Richmond, VA. Mr. Jennings was born in South Hill, VA on December 5, 1966 to Georgia Maezetta Jennings and the late Douglas Calvin Jennings, Sr. He received his education in the public schools of Charlotte County, VA, and later attended Job Corps in West Virginia. Mr. Jennings was a former employee of Lewis Tree Service, Morgan Lumber Company and Microsoft. In addition to his father, Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by a sister, Dawn. Cherishing his memories are his three children, Tomeika Taylor of Rice, VA, Dawnte Taylor of Rice, VA and Jessica Roberts of Chase City, VA; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Georgia Maezetta Jennings of Norfolk, VA; one sister, Delories Jennings of Chase City, VA; one brother, David Jennings of Chase City, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mr. Douglas Calvin Jennings, Jr. will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Patricia Liggon officiating. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
